Round loop earrings by Kathleen Buzzacott and Allegria Designs.

Kathleen grew up in the Central Australian Aboriginal community Hermannsburg. She is of Pitatjantatjara and Western Arrernte heritage. Her art is inspired by memories and family connections that have become an important part of her life, belonging and identity. These themes are shared through her designs on the jewellery. Allegria Designs directly collaborates with Kathleen and contributes royalties back to her.

These round loop earrings feature the artwork of Kathleen Buzzacott. Crops of her artwork are printed on UV stable photographic film. The earrings ship in a round Allegria Designs branded gift box.

The earring frames are made from pewter and then plated in nickel. The earring hooks are sterling silver.

Earrings measure: Drops are 2cm long and earrings including hooks are 4cm long.

Made in Australia.

Kathleen Buzzacott is an artist, poet, designer and entrepreneur, of Pitjantjatjara Scottish and English heritage, born in Alice Springs Central Australia. She and her siblings spent the early years of their childhood with their father and his family in Queensland. At the age of 10, she returned to the Central Australian Aboriginal Community of Hermannsburg, with her sister, and brother, to live with their mother and step-father.

Kathleen’s fine Central Desert Dot Painting style celebrates her discovery and connection to her indigenous heritage. Happy childhood memories of her son’s growing up on the land are shared through aboriginal story telling on canvas, and feature native bush creatures.

In 2014 Kathleen Buzzacott Art Studio was established, and continues to operate with the assistance of Kathleen and husband Keith and sons Kyle and Klinton. The tranquil studio is located approximately 18km West of Alice Springs in the beautiful scenic West MacDonnell Ranges. Home to the Arrernte People, this is Keith’s Traditional Maternal Land. Visitors are welcomed at the studio.

Delighted

Colours and details so perfect and joyful and oddly transporting, felt a real zap of connection when i opened the box for a peek. If I had pierced ears, these might not make it to my sister for her birthday 🌝
