World Indigenous Tourism Summit 2023

Welcome to Country had the pleasure of attending the World Indigenous Tourism Summit last week on Whadjuk Nyoongar Country. Congratulations to The World Indigenous Tourism Alliance (WINTA) and Western Australian Indigenous Tourism Operators Council (WAITOC) on organising such an important and inspiring and event. It was an incredible three days; hearing speakers from across the globe, making international connections and learning about each nations Indigenous tourism sector – And finding more similarities than differences!

The summit also gave the Welcome to Country team the opportunity to catch with many of the incredible First Nations tourism operators we work with! It was great to have a yarn in person and introduce many operators to our new CEO, Desmond Campbell and Head of Marketing, James Saunders.
