Ngu-nyingaya-mah-men,  ngubu-rna-na 2023!

Desmond is speaking his Grandmothers language, the Ngalakan language of South East Arnhem Land.

I am a Ngalakgan person. My skin name is Gojok and my name is Desmond. I am the CEO of Welcome To Country.
I would like to wish you and your families a very happy and safe holidays. Thank you for your support in 2022.
I’m feeling good and I’ll see you all in 2023!

I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to our suppliers and operators – each of you have made 2022 a very successful year. I would also like to extend my thanks to the Welcome to Country community, I genuinely appreciate your support.

Coming on board in November 2022, I can already see the positive change happening for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses and the communities they operate in. As an Aboriginal person I look forward to working with the team to continue building opportunities and positive outcomes for all mob around Australia in 2023 and beyond.
