Marcia Langton has been made an Officer of the Order of Australia. The University of Melbourne professor and author of Welcome to Country: A Travel Guide to Indigenous Australia, was honoured in this year’s Queen’s birthday honours. Langton received the OA “for distinguished service to tertiary education, and as an advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people”.
