Whadjuk Biddi Kings Park
On the Whadjuk Biddi Kings Park experience, you are invited on a 90 minute cultural journey through beautiful Kaarta Koomba (Kings Park). Beginning at the Giant Boab ‘Gija Jumulu’ tree, your guide honours guests with a Welcome to Country before sharing the story of the Boab Tree. As guests wander through spectacular Kings Park, taking in sweeping views along the tree top walk, Olman shares details of the region’s history, hunting and cultural traditions and the seasonality of the Noongar six seasons. Seated in a man-made amphitheatre named Beedawong, guests then listen as Olman showcases the sounds of musical instruments such as the Didgeridoo and shares the ancient and contemporary uses of traditional artefacts.
Foreshore Beach Aboriginal Walking Tour
Join your guide Aunty Pat Torres, on a tour in Broome where she will share her passion for the intricate nature and beauty of Aboriginal culture from a woman’s perspective. Teaching guests about the sacredness of the land and the deep spiritual connection to it, including the plants, the trees and the animals. Aunty Pat shares the significance of the plants used in the Smoking Ceremony and then shares her stories from an Aboriginal women’s Dreaming perspective and the cultural stories of the site. Rock Art Tour, Murujuga National Park
Experience Western Australia’s Pilbara region through the the eyes of a Traditional Owner. Join Ngurrangga Tours and discover the Burrup Peninsula located in Murujuga National Park. The National Park has the highest concentration of rock art in the world, the art is approximately 40,000 years old and there is up to 1 million rock art images scattered across the entire Burrup Peninsula and Dampier Archipelago.
