Journey from Aboriginal Dreamtime to the 1800’s through this powerful, open-air live theatre show. Based on true events, Spirits of the Red Sand brings to life a powerful, emotive narrative that follows three Aboriginal brothers dealing with the clashing cultures and beliefs of the 19th century.
Launched in 2017, this first-of-its kind experience is a true cultural awakening that will open your eyes to the history, beauty and vibrancy of the Aboriginal people.
The live theatre experience is a roving, immersive theatre – guests move from scene to scene and enjoy a range of indigenous song and dance. Told by Jarrah, the only surviving member of three Aboriginal brothers, the show is set within a real 19th-Century Australian town complete with Church, Pub and indigenous village.
The story of Spirits of the Red Sand is based on true events and authentic elements of Aboriginal culture. Many of our characters have been inspired by real people living in 1800’s Australia. All of our Aboriginal actors are direct descendants of Australian Aboriginal mobs – their families experienced many of the events they bring to life in the show.
