The highlight of the tour is the magnificent cave paintings, one of the most significant art sites in Central Australia. The drama of the Seven Sisters creation story is graphically illustrated on the ceiling of the cave. Climb to the top of Cave Hill to admire a 360 degree panoramic view of the surrounding countryside including Uluru 100kms away, Mount Conner and the imposing Musgrave Ranges.
You will discuss Tjukurpa and the Songlines and learn their relevance to Anangu life in the desert. You will investigate traditional food gathering and the preparation of desert bush tucker delights. After lunch we head back to Ayers Rock Resort arriving late afternoon.
A helicopter flight is available at an additional cost if you wish to follow the desert trails and enjoy the majesty of Uluru from the air.
The tour is available all year. The tour is a 9-10 hour fully guided 4WD experience.
The tour departs from Ayers Rock Resort between 6:30am and 7:30am subject to the time of year.

This itinerary can change at late notice due to cultural reasons, weather conditions or other conditions beyond our control. The tour can not guarantee return time to meet any other tours booked including resort dinner tour.
Aboriginal hosts are traditional people with strong cultural obligations. When cultural events occur an Aboriginal Host may not be available and this is beyond the control of SEIT Outback Australia.
