Immerse yourself in an unforgettable experience on Aboriginal land and guided by local Aboriginal people just 50 kilometres from Darwin.
Learn about culture, land and local bush food and bush medicine while making a bush bracelet. Includes Darwin transfers and a day trip to Kakadu.
You will be picked up from your accommodation in Darwin at 2.00pm and driven to Pudakul. On arrival at Pudakul check-in to your self-contained accommodation.
Enjoy an Aboriginal Art session learning the different art painting styles. You will create your own painting on canvas guided by one of our friendly staff.
Up next, at 4:30pm you will enjoy a 2 Hour Aboriginal cultural experience. During this experience you will learn about the different local plant usages, have a go at throwing a spear and more.
After the 2 Hour tour, dinner will be served on the deck overlooking the billabong while watching the evening sunset.
After dinner, retreat to your self-contained unit in air-conditioned comfort.
Enjoy a day trip to Kakadu National Park. Start with a continental breakfast and then hit the road at 8:00am. Take the 2 Hour drive to Ubirr to explore the ancient rock Art sites. Next go to the East Alligator river region to look at the famous Cahills crossing where the saltwater crocodiles are famous for laying around the tidal river road that connects Arnhem land to Kakadu.
Enjoy morning tea here before making our way to the Bowali Visitor Centre for an insight into the Interpretive centre showcasing the Kakadu knowledge. Travel to Noulangie Rock Art to explore more ancient rock art and to have lunch.
Afterwards we will make our way back to Mummakula wetlands to spot some local birds and enjoy some afternoon tea.
Head back to Pudakul for dinner and a good nights rest.
Enjoy breakfast overlooking the billabong. You will then be dropped back into Darwin by 10:00am.
This experience is available 7 days a week.
The experience commences at 2:00pm on Day 1 and concludes at 10:00am on Day 3.
Pudakul is 55km from Darwin on the Arnhem Highway (approx. 50 minute drive) driving towards Kakadu National Park. Look out for the signs as you approach the turn off.
