YOUR EXPERIENCE PROVIDER
Narana’s vision is to promote reconciliation between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people by developing a better understanding of culture through connection. Narana is nestled amongst native trees, walkways and gardens, through your exploration of the beautiful grounds you experience an introduction to Aboriginal culture.
Narana’s cultural display, performance building, art gallery and native gardens provide the perfect learning environment. On this guided tour many key elements of local Aboriginal culture are illuminated. Connection to country is explained, you will see Aboriginal artworks and cultural artefacts, enjoy a guided garden walk where you will interact with Australian native animals and taste bush tucker.
Join us and let's walk this journey together.
Your tour will start with a Welcome to Narana followed by an arts and artefacts cultural talk with Didgeridoo performance (subject to male guide).
Enjoy a tasting plate - choose from scones and coffee or bush tucker. The scone flavours are lemon myrtle or wattleseed (depending on the day and availability of ingredients) and the bush tucker includes kangaroo, Indigenous inspired dips and damper.
Then enjoy a guided walk in the native garden with friendly wildlife feeding and boomerang throwing. Finish your tour with free time to wander in the art gallery and retail store and take some time to relax in Café Narana.
