Aboriginal guides explore Kuku Yalanji country, the only place where two world heritage sites meet, the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef and share the cultural connection the people have with their land. Learn about the environment, different bush foods and medicines. Sample some seasonal bush tucker while appreciating the history, culture and traditions of our Australian Aboriginal people.
Cultural tours are based around the Mossman, Mossman Gorge, coastal habitats and the Daintree river area.
Starting from your accommodation, spend the afternoon with a local Kuku Yalanji Aboriginal tour guide.
Walk along the coastal habitats learning about the environment, different foods and medicines utilised from nature, sample some bush tucker, collect shellfish and try traditional Aboriginal hunting practices.
Have a go at spear throwing and if you are lucky, catch a mud crab.
Visit the rainforest to complete the adventure and cool off in a pristine freshwater stream.
Tours run year round with a minimum for 2 and a maximum of 11 guests.
This experience is 4 hours in duration. Pick up for Afternoon Tour: 12:30pm - 1:30pm; Drop off for Afternoon Tour: 4:30pm - 5.30pm
