The Role
As Marketing Manager, alongside the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for the implementation of WtC’s marketing strategy. This includes the design and development of multi-channel campaigns for both B2C and B2B markets, assisting with managing and implementing media relationships, partnerships, promotions, communications,
content generation, public relations, collateral and marketing research, reporting and evaluation. The aim is to build our brand and to improve our marketing and sales efforts overall.
Key Responsibilities
Help maintain and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Welcome to Country as a marketing led business Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition, retention and revenue growth for our tourism and retail divisions.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify target customer segments, understand market trends and assess competitors’ marketing activities.
Create and implement innovative marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital platforms, social media, email marketing, print media and events.
Develop engaging marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, digital assets and website content, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality standards.
Manage and optimise digital marketing channels, including website content, search engine optimisation (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), social media platforms and online advertising campaigns
Manage and optimise CRM system including campaigns, OWS and list and segment management
Analyse marketing campaign performance; track key metrics and prepare reports, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, Shop and experience product teams, to align marketing efforts with business objectives and support product launches and promotions.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in tourism and retail marketing, incorporating new strategies and tools into marketing initiatives.
Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies and plans aligned with the company’s goals and objectives in the tourism and retail sectors.
Craft compelling brand messaging, key messages and storytelling that effectively conveys our value proposition and resonates with target audiences.Create and oversee the production of engaging content for various communication channels, including press releases, articles, blog posts, website content, social media and marketing collateral.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent and aligned messaging across all departments, including marketing, sales and experiences.Manage marketing budgets effectively, monitor expenses and ensure optimal allocation of resources for maximum return on investment.

Experience/ Qualifications
A minimum of 6 years experience working in a Marketing Department or similar Experience working in the tourism/ travel or retail sectors (desirable) Knowledge of the Not-for-profit and/or social enterprise sector
Experience working with First Nations people and communities
Experience using design tools will be highly regarded, but not required A degree in Marketing will be highly regarded, but not required

A curious mind and desire to solve problems
Very strong understanding of the media environment and a strong interest in news and current affairs. Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices.
Data analysis, reporting and evaluation skills Excellent time-management skills.
