The Role

As Marketing Coordinator you will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of WtC’s marketing strategy, including, but not limited to, the design and development of multi-channel campaigns, assisting with media relationships and organising events. You will contribute to the broader aim of the entire Marketing and eCommerce team to build our brand and to improve marketing and sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create content and produce publications for print and online.
  • Assist with media enquiries.
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns across all channels.
  • Assist with the administration of our social media channels on a daily basis.
  • Create web and social media content including copy writing and design.
  • Collaborate with other team members at WtC, in particular the Sales team.
  • Use marketing analytics tools to monitor marketing performance and assist with Marketing and eCommerce tracking and reporting of business KPIs.
  • Update website content using CMS (Shopify Plus)
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network.
  • Assist with the ongoing maintenance of the marketing and events calendars.
  • Assist with event management.
  • Develop and update marketing collateral to support strategic and tactical marketing and sales executions.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing and eCommerce to assist in the development of brand and product positioning, including community event promotion.
  • Create weekly EDMs (Electronic Direct Mail) for Shop and Experiences, ensuring engaging and effective content.
  • Help manage stakeholder engagement activities with WtC operators, suppliers, and the broader Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to ensure successful relationships.
  • Write compelling copy for product and service descriptions and promotions, capturing the essence and value of the offerings.
  • Collaborate internally and/or with external agencies to help manage digital advertising campaigns across platforms like Google, Meta, and other digital channels, optimising performance and maximising reach.
  • Support the Head of Marketing and eCommerce in managing internal and external Business-As-Usual (BAU) campaigns, ensuring smooth execution and timely delivery.
  • Assist with administration of the Marketing and eCommerce budget
  • Assist in drafting media releases and maintaining relationships with media outlets
  • Other duties, as required by the Head of Marketing and eCommerce, from time to time

Experience/ Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years experience working as a Marketing Assistant or similar
  • Experience working in the tourism/ travel or retail sectors (desirable)
  • Experience using design tools will be highly regarded, but not required
  • Knowledge of the Not-for-profit and/or social enterprise sector
  • Experience working with First Nations people and communities
  • A degree in Marketing will be highly regarded, but not essential
