A Bundjalung woman who grew up on Awabakal land in Lake Macquarie. One of Carly’s most rewarding roles was her position as an Aboriginal Education Worker, where she was engaged in learning and social support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and their families.

Carly has previous marketing experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, where she was engaged in multi-channel marketing and content creation and contributed to the continual innovation of brands and marketing practices through the development of proposals and strategies. She is currently studying the combined Bachelor of Public Communication and International Studies at UTS, with majors in advertising and Spanish language and culture.

Carly is passionate about educating all Australians about the past and present experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and believes that marketing and communications are powerful tools in working towards achieving better understandings and outcomes.
