Day One

Wilpena Pound
Experience:  Yura Udnyu – Our Culture, Your Culture
The Yura Udnyu – Our Culture, Your Culture tour explores the intertwining histories of Aboriginal and European cultures of the area. “Yura” is the name for local Adnyamathanha people and “Udnyu” means white, so this two-hour walking tour includes the interconnecting histories of both Aboriginal and European cultures. Touring Old Wilpena Station you will discover the history of the station, the Heritage listed site is a valuable archive of pastoral history in the Flinders Ranges. The Station also holds a continued cultural significance for the Adnyamathanha people. Learn about the Dreaming of the Adnyamathanha, hear the story of how the Akurra (serpents) formed Ikara and Wilpena Pound.

Day Two

Leg: Wilpena Pound to Clare Valley
Drive: 295km approx. 3 and ½ hours
Experience: Visit the Clare Valley Art Gallery nestled amongst the vineyards of the Clare Valley. The Gallery has been proud to be involved in the Indigenous art industry for over 15 years and sources all art direct from the artist and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and photos of the artist. Then enjoy lunch at one of the Clare’s many Gastro Pubs!

Leg Two: Clare Valley to Adelaide
Drive: 140km approx. 2 hours
Stay:  Overnight in Adelaide


Day Three
Adelaide to Kangaroo Island
Drive: 100km approx. 1 and ½ hours to Cape Jervis at Cape Jervis catch the ferry to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island approx. 1 hour
Experience: Kangaroo Island Snorkelling Tour
Have a once in a life time wildlife experience with Kangaroo Island Ocean Safari! Swim with wild dolphins or cheeky long nosed seals and snorkel some of Kangaroo Island’s stunning coastline. A truly unforgettable wildlife encounter. Spot the cheeky seals lounging on the rocks or playing in the water. Then dive in with them. These curious seals can be quite interactive and playful and are super fun to snorkel with! Then spot dolphin pods that live in the coastal waters, and if they’re feeling playful, you’ll also be able to swim alongside them in the wild.
