Tiwi Culture.

Immerse yourself in a full day of culture and community with Sealink Northern Territory’s Tiwi by Design Day Tour. Meet your Tiwi guide in the Aboriginal community of Wurrumiyanga on Bathurst Island and make your way to the Tiwi Design Art Centre. Here, local artists and dancers will perform a traditional Welcome to Country with a smoking ceremony and totem dances.

Dot painting

Workshop.

For thousands of years, Anangu have passed down their knowledge generation to generation, to keep the land, their culture and their people strong. Our dot painting workshop runs for an hour and a half guided by a local Anangu artist and interpreter. You will learn about ancient symbols used in Anangu art and teachings.

Nitmiluk Gorge.

Prepare for a truly memorable experience as you travel through time and the three gorges of stunning Nitmiluk Gorge in the Katherine region of the Northern Territory. This 4 hour experience allows guests to experience the first 3 gorges at a relaxed pace. Our experienced Guides will share the history, culture and stories of the Nitmiluk Region as you travel through the Gorges. This tour also includes the option of a refreshing swim at the Lillypond seasonal waterfalls or at the shallow rock pools.
